Vacancy Details
Mumbai Railway Vikas Corporation (MRVC), a Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Railways, is recruiting 7 professionals for Rolling Stock projects on a 5-year contractual basis. These positions are critical for executing EMU (Electric Multiple Unit) projects and enhancing suburban rail transportation capacity in Mumbai.
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- B.E / B.Tech in Electrical, Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics, Power Electronics, or Instrumentation from a Government recognized University/Institute
- Minimum 60% marks in engineering graduation (aggregate percentage as per university conversion norms if CGPA/OGPA/CPI/DGPA is awarded)
- Note: Rounding off percentages will NOT be acceptable (e.g., 59.99% will be treated as less than 60%)
Experience Requirements (Post-Qualification)
- Sr. Manager (Rolling Stock):Minimum 8 years post-qualification working experience. Currently working in E-3/L-10 grade with minimum 2 years in that level or higher grade
- Manager (Rolling Stock):Minimum 4 years post-qualification working experience. Currently working in E-2/L-8 grade with minimum 2 years in that level or higher grade
- Project Engineer (Rolling Stock):Minimum 2 years post-qualification working experience
- Preferred:Candidates with working experience in design, technical specifications, bid preparation, testing, operation and maintenance of EMU rolling stock in Railway/RRTS/Metro/LRT/HSR/Suburban rail systems will be preferred
Age Limit (as on 28.02.2026)
- Sr. Manager (Rolling Stock):Not exceeding 40 years
- Manager (Rolling Stock):Not exceeding 35 years
- Project Engineer (Rolling Stock):Not exceeding 30 years
- Age relaxation as per Government of India policy applicable

Selection Process
- Preliminary Screening:Applications will be screened for compliance with eligibility criteria and prescribed format
- Shortlisting:If more applications are received, candidates equal to 5 times the notified vacancies will be shortlisted based on engineering marks and experience
- Document Verification:Shortlisted candidates must bring original application, original certificates, one set of self-attested photocopies, and character certificate from Gazetted/Executive Officer
- Interview:Candidates will be interviewed by a nominated Committee of MRVC
- Merit-Based Selection:Final selection will be based on performance in interview, qualifications, and post-qualification experience
- Medical Examination:Selected candidates must pass medical fitness examination by a doctor (minimum MBBS qualification)
- Decision:The decision of the Nominated Committee shall be final and binding
Salary/Remuneration
- Sr. Manager (Rolling Stock) – IDA E4/L-11:Basic Pay ₹70,000 – ₹2,00,000 with annual increment @ 3% of basic pay
- Manager (Rolling Stock) – IDA E3/L-10:Basic Pay ₹60,000 – ₹1,80,000 with annual increment @ 3% of basic pay
- Project Engineer (Rolling Stock) – IDA E1:Basic Pay ₹40,000 – ₹1,40,000 with annual increment @ 3% of basic pay
- Additional Allowances:DA (Dearness Allowance), HRA (House Rent Allowance), Provident Fund, Cafeteria, and other perks as per MRVC policy
- Medical Benefits:As per MRVC policy
- Pay Protection:Provided to candidates already working in Govt/Semi-government/PSU organizations (including on contract)
