PGIMER Chandigarh is recruiting 1 Site Coordinator for the “Learning Initiative for Vitamin A and D Fortification Programming” project. This is a research coordination position focused on managing a multi-state nutrition and vitamin fortification project with collaboration from government and community stakeholders.
Eligibility Criteria
Essential Qualification (Any one of the following)
- Option 1:MBBS/BVSC/BDS with Five years post-qualification experience in health, nutrition, or public health field
- Option 2:MBBS/BVSC/BDS Post Graduate Degree (MD/MVSc./MDS/MPH) or any equivalent degree, including integrated PG degrees
- Option 3:MBBS/BVSC/BDS with PhD in health, nutrition, or public health
Additional Requirements
- Strong research background in nutrition, public health, or related field
- Demonstrated ability in project management, research coordination, and stakeholder engagement
- Experience in managing multi-site research projects or nutrition programs
Desirable Qualifications
- Prior experience coordinating large-scale nutrition or public health research projects
- Willingness to travel extensively to project sites and engage with government and community stakeholders
- Excellent leadership, analytical, communication, and writing skills
- Flexibility to work long hours and attend international calls/meetings at odd times
- Capability to write research reports and scientific papers for publication
Important Dates
Selection Process
- Applications will be screened based on qualifications, experience, and research background
- Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interview
- Interview will be conducted by selection committee at PGIMER Chandigarh
- Interview date, time, and venue will be notified to shortlisted candidates via email or SMS

Salary/ Stipend
Terms:Salary will be offered based on candidate’s qualification (MBBS/PG/PhD) and relevant experience. The position is purely temporary and employment will automatically terminate upon completion or termination of the project.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management & Implementation
- Plan, organize, and oversee day-to-day project activities at central and field levels
- Ensure timely implementation of project milestones in line with objectives
- Develop and maintain project work plans, schedules, and reporting frameworks
- Track project expenses and ensure proper utilization of funds
Coordination & Supervision
- Supervise and build capacity of project staff and field teams
- Coordinate with technical partners, state governments, and stakeholders
- Facilitate approvals and collaborations with institutions and government departments
Research & Technical Support
- Support development of research protocols, survey tools, and data collection instruments
- Monitor sentinel site surveys, household line listing, and dietary assessments
Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting
- Track progress on project outputs and outcomes
- Compile data summaries and prepare periodic progress reports
- Prepare technical briefs and research manuscripts
Knowledge Management
- Support preparation of academic publications
- Prepare presentations and dissemination of project outcomes
- Assist in dissemination through workshops, publications, and policy briefs
