The recruitment is for an ICSSR-funded major research project titled “Socio-cultural Documentation and Text Analytics of Kani Performing Arts”.

Eligibility Criteria

Research Assistant – 1 Post

• Post Graduate degree in English or any Social Science discipline.
• Minimum 55% marks in PG degree.
• NET/SLET/M.Phil./PhD. in relevant field.
• Primary responsibility: Data analysis and report drafting.

Desirable: Proficiency in Tamil, English, and Malayalam; knowledge of computer operation.

Field Investigator – 1 Post

• Post Graduate degree in English or any Social Science discipline.
• Minimum 55% marks in PG degree.
• NET/SLET/M.Phil./PhD. in relevant field.
• Primary responsibility: Data collection, transcription, and translation of primary data.

Desirable: Proficiency in Tamil, English, and Malayalam; experience in fieldwork and data collection.

Application Fee: No application fee – candidates can attend the walk-in directly.

Selection Process: Walk-in interview only (no written test, no prior application). Selection based on academic qualifications, research experience, and interview performance. Candidates must bring all original certificates for verification.

• Report directly at the interview venue and register your name.

Documents to Bring

• PG degree certificate and mark sheets.
• NET/SLET/M.Phil./PhD. certificates (as applicable).
• 10th & 12th certificates (as proof of age).
• Valid ID proof (Aadhar / PAN / Voter ID / Passport).
• Updated CV/Resume with research experience and publications (if any).
• Two recent passport-size photographs.
• Certificates of language proficiency in Tamil, English, Malayalam (if available).

Note: This is a temporary 2‑month assignment for the ICSSR research project; selection is merit-based and the university may modify the interview schedule if required.
